Welcome Centre Coordinator (1 Year Contract with Benefits)
The Welcome Centre Coordinator is someone with strong and proven supervisory skills who is able to oversee and manage a team of volunteers at the Welcome Centre. The Welcome Centre Greeters help the other volunteers sign in and out for their shifts, set their monthly schedules, create their confirmation of volunteering letters, and see to the administrative needs of a large volunteer workforce.
The Welcome Centre Coordinator is responsible for providing reception services to the people who use the Welcome Centre entrance, supervising welcome centre volunteers, and creating and maintaining working partnerships with managers and staff in other areas with regard to volunteer scheduling and other volunteer-related issues.
The ideal candidate must have an education in Volunteer Management, Human Resources, Social Services or equivalent experience, three years’ experience working in a management or supervisory role, and experience working with Volunteers (preferably supervising volunteers) and/or as a Volunteer.
