Donna Dooher  

Donna Dooher is the Executive Chef and Owner of MILDRED’S Temple Kitchen. Donna is a recognized leader in Canada’s restaurant community. She is a celebrated chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, teacher and TV personality with a passion for bringing people to the table. Her first restaurant, Mildred Pierce, established brunch as a culinary trend in Toronto. Her newest venture, MILDRED’S Temple Kitchen, reflects commitment to using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, simply and sumptuously prepared.


Daniel Mezzolo

Born in Spilimbergo, Friuli, Italy, Daniel Mezzolo spent most of his time with his nonna Maria, tending to the family garden and small farm. The tradition of cultivating, growing and preparing your own food was planted in his mind.

Mezzolo spent two years at the Instituto Alberghiero Lavoro (I.A.L) in Aviano, inspired by his teachersʼ international stories.

From there, a casual meeting with Trattoria Nervosa owner, Janet Zuccarini, landed Mezzolo the Executive Chef role at Gusto 101. Mezzolo continues to perfect his craft daily in Gusto 101ʼs challenging and fastpaced environment, yet his dishes remind us to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.

chef-Saverio Saverio Macri

As a native Italian and raised by first generation Italian parents, Chef Saverio Macri’s passion for Italian culture and cuisine were nurtured from a very young age. Saverio’s first years in the kitchen were spent training in various trattorias in Tuscany, Italy which has immensely influenced and shaped his culinary journey. Saverio’s tremendous culinary talents, passion for food and community involvement, make him an incredible influence in the Toronto culinary industry and an asset Cibo Wine Bar as Executive Chef.


Massimo Capra

Italian expatriate Massimo Capra is the Chef and Co-Owner of two of Toronto’s most established restaurants, Mistura and Sopra Upper Lounge, offering the city’s best in fine dining, contemporary Italian cuisine and live music.

In 1989, he met Michael Carlevale of the famed Prego della Piazza and was offered his chef position; Prego went on to became one of the most essential restaurants in Toronto’s culinary scene during his nine-year stay. In partnership with Michael Carlevale, Chef Massimo helped develop the concept for Mr. Carlevale’s Black & Blue Restaurant and Byzantium.

Today, Chef Massimo is working on bringing his passion for affordable gourmet food to Canada’s busiest airport, Pearson International in Toronto, with the opening of Boccone Trattoria Veloce in Terminal 1’s domestic departures area, and Boccone Pronto in Terminal 1’s US departures area. Chef Massimo makes frequent appearances on City’s nationally-broadcast show, Cityline.


Michael Bonacini

Michael Bonacini is a celebrity chef and co-founder of Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants, recognized as one of Canada’s leading fine dining restaurant companies, operating 11 unique and innovative restaurants in Ontario.

Michael was among the first chefs to showcase regional Canadian cuisine with his ground-breaking restaurant Canoe. In 1996, he was awarded the Ontario Hostelry Institute’s first ever Gold Award in recognition of his significant contribution to culinary excellence in Ontario. He was the host of Food Network Canada’s Cook Like a Chef and has been a recurring guest chef on City’s Cityline since 1998. In 2010, Michael released his first cookbook, 3 Chefs: The Kitchen Men, a collaborative effort with fellow television chefs Massimo Capra and Jason Parsons. Currently, Michael can be seen in CTV’s hit reality series MasterChef Canada where he serves as a mentor and judge.

Michael’s restaurants include Jump, Canoe, Auberge du Pommier, Biff’s Bistro, Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill, Luma, O&B Canteen, and Bannock.


Emily Richards

Highly experienced and well-regarded Professional Home Economist, Emily Richards has an extensive know-how in the Food Industry which is strengthened with her Bachelor of Science, Home Economics specializing in Food and Nutrition from the University of Western Ontario. Emily has authored and co-authored many cookbooks and continues to create recipes for notable magazines, newspapers and companies. Emily is currently sculpting her next cookbook that will share her family’s Italian culture.


Maureen Holloway

Maureen Holloway has co-hosted Q107’s morning show, Derringer in the Morning with Maureen Holloway since 2001 and can be heard weekdays from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Launching her career as a traffic reporter over 20 years ago, Maureen Holloway has flourished as a Canadian radio personality, entertainer and comedian. As a radio host, she is known for her nationally-broadcast celebrity gossip segment, The Last Word. In 2006, Maureen was presented with the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Gold Ribbon Award for Humour. Holloway dedicates her time to giving back and has been recognized for her charity work throughout the GTA.


Fred Kennedy

Fred Kennedy has hosted Toronto’s 102.1 the Edge’s afternoon drive show, The Fearless Fred Show, since 2009 and can be heard weekdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aside from radio, Fred hosts Fred at Night every Thursday on TELETOON at Night and also moonlights as a comic book writer and founder of the independent comic book imprint, Big Sexy Comics. Fred began his broadcast career in Eastern Canada and Ontario, then joined Power 97 in Winnipeg before moving to Edmonton and subsequently to Toronto. Kennedy has been honoured as a rising star in the Canadian broadcast industry receiving the 2009 Steve Young Award at Canadian Music Week for his commitment to advising and mentoring young future broadcasters.
