Get involved this Thanksgiving: Purolator Red Bag Campaign

On September 25, Purolator will kick off its third annual Red Bag Campaign in support of Daily Bread Food Bank, as part of their national Tackle Hunger initiative.

With a goal of raising 50,000 pounds of food for this year’s campaign, Purolator will distribute 15,000 Red Bags in neighbourhoods across the city and encourage everyone to fill it up with non-perishable food donations that will be distributed to thousands of individuals experiencing hunger this Thanksgiving season.

Here is how you can get involved:

  • If you live in the Annex, Danforth/Riverdale, and Roncesvalles neighbourhoods, be on the look out for our incredible volunteers who will be dropping off Purolator Red Bags right to your door on Saturday, September 25.
  • Fill up the bag with a few of our most needed items, and leave on your front porch on Saturday, October 2 by noon. Purolator volunteer drivers will be picking up all bags and delivering them to the Daily Bread warehouse.
  • If you miss our pick-up deadline, you can drop off your Red Bag with non-perishable food items at your nearest firehall.

The Purolator Red Bag campaign is a community favourite as everyone can come together to ensure that our neighbours across the city can continue to access the food they need.

We are grateful to Purolator for their partnership and commitment to the fight against hunger. And to all the incredible volunteers who give their time to make this initiative such a success.
