Join us for an exclusive event on Wednesday, April 16 to hear directly from the candidates nominated for the Etobicoke-Lakeshore riding during the federal election.
Across Canada, people are struggling with skyrocketing living costs, unaffordable housing, precarious work, and inadequate income supports. Tariffs threaten to make daily life even more challenging.
In 2024, Daily Bread member food banks recorded over 3.75 million visits—a record high and more than 4.5 times pre-pandemic levels. Alarmingly, having a job or even a post-secondary education no longer guarantees financial security.
As Canadians head to polls on April 28, Daily Bread Food Bank, in partnership with LAMP Community Health Centre and Second Harvest, is hosting an Etobicoke-Lakeshore Candidates’ Debate. This is a key opportunity for residents to hear directly from candidates on how they plan to tackle these urgent challenges.
Candidates who have confirmed:
Bernard Trottier, Conservative Party
James Maloney, Liberal Party
Cory Wagar, New Democratic Party
Moderator: The debate will be moderated by Kat Eschner, Affordability Reporter with TVO Today.
Doors open at 6:00pm and the debate starts at 7:00pm.
Space is limited, so please register today to confirm your attendance.
