Your impact, by the numbers

With our fiscal year ending in June, July is a time of reflection for us at Daily Bread.

What impact did we have over the past 12 months?

There are a few different ways to measure it — in the short-term relief we give to clients by providing emergency food access now, and in the advocacy work we do to achieve the policy changes needed to end hunger for good.

None of would have been possible without every single one of our donors, supporters, volunteers and community partners. Thank you all for your generosity and hard work throughout the year! We are honoured to share with you just a few of the metrics that showcase the impact we’ve made together from July 2024 to June 2025.

710,000+

Average number of pounds of food we distributed per week. Five years ago, that number was under 250,000 pounds.

3.7+ million

Client visits to Daily Bread member food banks; this is over 300,000 more than the year prior.

17

New programs we added to our list of over 200 across the city. These include food banks, meal programs, and more.

250,000+

Meals produced in our kitchen; that’s about a thousand meals produced each business day and more than double the number from five years prior.

43

Meetings held with elected officials and government staff, pushing for the poverty-reduction strategies we know will reduce food bank usage.

10

Deputations or submissions we put forward to all three levels of government, highlighting the need we’re seeing on the ground and the policies that we know will help curb demand.

Thank you so much for your contribution to the fight to end hunger. To continue your impact, consider making a donation today.
