This strawberry, basil & goat cheese crostini recipe brings together a fresh mix of sweet, tangy, and savoury ingredients that’s sure to impress at your next picnic or patio gathering.

The creamy goat cheese pairs perfectly with juicy strawberries and fragrant basil, while a splash of balsamic vinegar adds just the right amount of zing. If your berries are on the tart side, a pinch of sugar will help balance the flavour. No white balsamic on hand? Lemon juice or regular balsamic make great substitutes.

Strawberry bruschetta

Ingredients
• 1 baguette
• 1 pint strawberries
• 2 tbsp chopped basil
• 1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
• 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 100g goat cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice baguette into ¼” rounds. Toss with olive oil and toast at 325°F for 15 minutes until golden.
  2. Hull and slice strawberries. Toss with basil, balsamic, and a drizzle of olive oil. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Spread goat cheese on toasted baguette slices and top with strawberry mixture. Serve and enjoy!
