Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raises over $211,000 for Daily Bread Food Bank

For the third year in a row, Daily Bread Food Bank had the honour of being selected by Toronto Tim Hortons restaurant owners as their region’s Holiday Smile Cookie charity partner, alongside Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. This year’s campaign, which ran from November 17–23, brought the city together in an extraordinary way—raising an incredible $211,747.38 for each benefactor.

This remarkable support comes at a time when it’s needed more than ever. Over the past year, food bank usage in Toronto climbed to an all-time high of 4.1 million visits. That’s more than half a million additional visits compared to the previous year—and a staggering 340% increase since 2019. The hunger crisis continues to deepen as more individuals and families rely on food banks more frequently and for longer periods of time.

That’s why this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie campaign means so much. Every cookie purchased represents not just generosity, but real impact for people in our city. Thanks to Tim Hortons restaurant owners, staff, and the countless community members who purchased Holiday Smile Cookies, Daily Bread will be able to provide more than 211,000 meals to Torontonians facing food insecurity.
