Happy Pride, Toronto!
June is Pride Month, a time when the entire city celebrates 2SLGBTQI+ communities. In fact, Pride Toronto is Canada’s largest festival and the second largest Pride in the world.
This year’s theme is “All In!” It’s a call to come together in “unshakable solidarity” in the “fight for a future where everyone can live unapologetically as they are.” This rallying cry speaks to a few of Daily Bread Food Bank’s core values: inclusive and equitable. We embrace diversity of people, thoughts and ideas. We believe that every voice is important in the fight to end hunger.
Daily Bread once again has the honour of marching in the Pride Parade, which takes place this year on Sunday, June 29, at 2:00pm. Come join the fun — the parade route starts at the intersection of Yonge Street and Alymer Street and ends at Nathan Phillips Square.
You can also enjoy Pride programming throughout the month in places all around the city organized through Pride Toronto, the Toronto Public Library and more.
