Daily Bread Food Bank’s Inaugural Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Drive

On Saturday, October 10, Daily Bread Food Bank hosted our inaugural Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Drive!

Together, our community collected close to 25,000 lbs of non-perishable food for our neighbours who are experiencing food insecurity.

We want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday. Your generosity and commitment to social justice is inspiring and you have impacted the lives of thousands in our city.

We’d like to also extend a heartfelt thank you to Mayor John Tory, James Maloney, Christine Hogarth, Jennifer McKelvie, Members of the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association, NHL’er Michael Del Zotto, and the Toronto Argonauts for joining us to safely unload all the generous donations received!

We also couldn’t have done it without our incredible volunteers and their hard work and dedication!

To those who were not able to join us, but made a donation online or dropped off food at a fire hall – we see you too and we are grateful!
