On Saturday, September 13, a legion of volunteers will be blanketing multiple Toronto neighbourhoods with 25,000 empty red bags, ready to be filled with food for people experiencing hunger this Thanksgiving season.
This is the seventh annual Purolator Red Bag Campaign in support of Daily Bread Food Bank, and part of Purolator’s nationwide Tackle Hunger program.
This year we’re targeting 50,000 pounds in food donations so we can help set Thanksgiving tables at a time when food bank use continues to be at a record high.
Here’s how the campaign works:
Join the Red Bag Drop Team
On Saturday, September 13, help blanket Toronto neighbourhoods with 25,000 Purolator Red Bags—ready to be filled with food for neighbours in need this Thanksgiving.
On Saturday, September 20, assist Purolator drivers as they collect the filled bags and deliver the donations to the Daily Bread warehouse.
You can volunteer for one day, or register for both to make an even bigger impact!
Our deepest thanks to Purolator for their longstanding commitment to the fight against hunger, and to our wonderful volunteers for dedicating their time and efforts to making this campaign a success. With your help, we’ll be able to fill our warehouse and ensure that everyone has access to the food they need this Thanksgiving.
