Toronto Community Donates 25,000 pounds of Food in One Day

April 7, 2021

On Saturday, April 3, Daily Bread Food Bank hosted our Spring Drive-Thru Food Drive.

Together, our community collected over 25,000 lbs. of non-perishable food for our neighbours experiencing food insecurity!

We want to give a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday! Your commitment to our mission to eliminate food insecurity and advocate for solutions to end poverty is inspiring and together YOU have impacted the lives of thousands in our city.

We’d also like to extend a very special thank you to Mayor John Tory, Christine Hogarth, James Maloney, Michael Ford, Shakura S’Aida, and our friends at Rogers, the Toronto Professional Fire Fighter’s Association, and Next Door!

We also couldn’t have done it without our incredible team of dedicated and hardworking volunteers!

To those who were not able to join us, but made a donation online or dropped off food at the Rogers Centre or fire hall – we see you too and we are grateful!
