Daily Bread Food Bank Webinar - Beyond COVID-19: Building a Future Without Poverty

December 10, 2020

Daily Bread Food Bank released our annual Who’s Hungry report, a cornerstone of Daily Bread’s advocacy work, providing insight to the experience of hunger and poverty in Toronto.

This year’s report reveals that prior to COVID-19, food bank use had already increased by 5% compared to the previous year with close to one million visits in the city of Toronto – the same level as peak following the 2008-09 financial crisis.

On Thursday, November 26, Talia Bronstein, VP of Research & Advocacy at Daily Bread Food Bank moderated an online panel discussion on how we can move Beyond COVID-19 to build a future without poverty.

Panelists included:

  • Hannah Aldridge, Policy and Research Analyst, Maytree
  • Leila Sarangi, National Coordinator, Campaign 2000
  • Ricardo Tranjan, Senior Researcher, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

We are grateful to everyone who joined this insightful discussion
