Food Access
Food is a human right. While poverty is the most significant driver of food insecurity in Toronto, for many communities it is exacerbated by limited food access. Challenges to food access may include lack of nearby grocery stores, lack of affordable options, and lack of nutritious and culturally appropriate foods.
Daily Bread Food Bank works closely with local community food access tables to support community food access planning and help ensure all neighbourhoods in Toronto have access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food at the community level.
