CBC Toronto Sounds of the Season School Challenge
Join the fight to end hunger and help provide emergency food access to families in your community this holiday season.
The GTA school that collects the most non-perishable food by December 22 (proportional to its student population) will win a pizza lunch for the entire school, courtesy of Pizza Pizza, AND an assembly visit from a CBC VIP guest.*
How to Participate
- Register your school food drive in support of your local food bank by clicking on one of the links below.
- Download resources to support your drive, including your local food bank’s list of ‘most needed items’, as well as a toolkit with ideas on how to engage your school community.
- Check below to see if your local food bank offers donation pick-ups or invite volunteers from your Parent Council or school community to deliver your donations to your local food bank by December 22. All food donations must be received by 3:00 pm EST on December 22, 2022, to qualify.
- The winning school will be announced by the CBC the week of January 9, 2023.
