Relief Program Lead

The Relief Program Lead will bring volunteer engagement skills, anti-oppression and community engagement approaches which support the recruitment, training, and leadership to our new hamper distribution food bank program.

Additionally, the Relief Program Lead will bring commitment and skill in providing client-centered services and can incorporate these into our relief program, including onboarding/orientation, food distribution and volunteer engagement. The Relief Program Lead will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of food for distribution and implementing and maintaining procedures and guidelines for the New Toronto Street Food Bank Relief Program.

Relief Program Worker

The Relief Program Worker is a team player with excellent customer service skills who will support our new hamper distribution food bank program.

The Relief Program Worker will be responsible for the preparation of food for distribution and the implementation and maintenance of the procedures and guidelines for the relief program. This position provides direct support to clients by assisting with client intake, food distribution, inventory, data entry, and client engagement.

Program Support Coordinator

The Program Support Coordinator is the first point of contact for member agencies running food banks and meal programs across Toronto. They keenly build and maintain supportive working relationships with frontline staff and volunteers, sharing and modeling client-centred systems and practises that facilitate dignified food access to marginalized and underserved communities. This role offers work flexibility as the Program Support Coordinator works independently but collaboratively with the Programs & Services team – a passionate group driven by diverse lived experiences and an intersectional anti-poverty lens.

Executive Assistant to CEO

The Executive Assistant role at Daily Bread can be a bit of a jambalaya of tasks. It requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to organize and manage a wide range of duties and responsibilities. No two days are the same but there is an opportunity to be exposed to a variety of tasks.

In addition to providing administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, The Executive Assistant to the CEO provides support for the Board of Directors, governing committees and from time to time, provides administrative assistance.

General Accountant

Working closely with the accounting department, the General Accountant will be responsible for the full scope of duties related to Accounts Payable from start to finish, assist in month end and year end preparation and process bank reconciliations and complete journal entries.

Request for Proposal, Evaluation Program

Daily Bread distributes fresh and shelf-stable food, and prepared meals to 131 member agencies and 203 food programs across Toronto, Scarborough, and Etobicoke. As a rights-based organization, Daily Bread has implemented standards that help guide these agencies to provide service in a manner that maximizes dignity, choice, and reduces barriers to food access. All members are expected to and agree to follow these standards.

Our Programs & Services department provides members with hands on program support, development, and training on an ongoing basis. Due to rapid growth and current size of our network, support is currently prioritized according to need and resources available.
We are seeking an outside consultant to develop a system of evaluation to help us better understand our member’s needs, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with our standards.

Manager, People and Culture

As the Manager, People and Culture of Daily Bread, you will partner with the VP of People and Culture and the business leaders to develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and build a high-performance team to deliver the organization’s strategic imperatives and mission. You will provide advice and coaching to employees and managers with respect to human resource planning, career development, staffing initiatives, performance management, diversity and inclusion, total rewards and employee relations in a mission driven organization.
