Celebrating Pride Month

June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate 2SLBGTQ+ communities.

Pride is also an important opportunity to reflect on how each of us can help foster a sense of belonging, respect, and equity for all members of our community; to educate ourselves and amplify marginalized voices.

The theme for Pride Toronto’s 2024 festival is “Be__”, a celebration of the right to be united in the fight for existence and acceptance. It is a call to simply be.

This year, Daily Bread Food Bank will be marching in the Toronto Pride Parade on June 30, in support of a city where everyone is safe, valued, equal and can be their true selves.

As an organization committed to social justice, Daily Bread supports all lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, pansexual, asexual, intersex, two-spirit and queer or questioning people. We encourage all community-based organizations to uphold and promote the rights of everyone and create a safe environment for all.

Visit Pride Toronto to learn more about the city’s 2SLGBTQ+ history and to discover more information regarding events taking place throughout the month of June.
