Food Items to Donate this Season

September 24, 2019

At Daily Bread Food Bank, we appreciate your generous food donations!

With our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive underway, we wanted to share a friendly reminder of some of our most needed items.

Keep these in mind if you are picking up a few extra items on your next trip to the grocery store, or if you are planning on running a Thanksgiving food drive at your workplace or with friends and family.

  • Rice and Pasta (dry and mac and cheese)
  • Beans and Lentils (canned / dry)
  • Canned meats (turkey, chicken, ham) and fish
  • Wholesome hot and cold cereals/oatmeal
  • Nut butters (peanut, almond, etc.)

Every donation makes a difference and with your support we can ensure that thousands of families and individuals across the city, will have access to healthy, nourishing food this Thanksgiving season.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please click here.

Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off directly at our warehouse (191 New Toronto Street), at any Toronto fire station, or participating grocery stores.

On behalf of everyone we serve, thank you for supporting our vision to end hunger in Toronto!
