Following the release of a new report from The School of Public Policy, University of Calgary, on the link between government policies and food bank use, Daily Bread Food Bank invites you to join us for webinar on Wednesday, March 30, 6:30-8:00pm ET.

Our panel of experts, and individuals with lived experience, will discuss key findings and explore solutions to food insecurity through government policy.

Moderated by Jamille Clarke-Darshanand and Christine Yip, Board of Directors, Daily Bread Food Bank Our panelists include: Dr. Ron Kneebone, Scientific Director of Social and Health Policy, School of Public Policy, University of CalgaryDeena Ladd, Executive Director, Workers’ Action CentreChiara Padovani, Chair, York South Weston Tenant Union Garima Talwar Kapoor, Director, Policy and Research, Maytree Food bank clients who will be discussing some of the realities of living with food insecurity.

Although food banks are designed to provide emergency food relief, food insecurity cannot be outsourced to charity. All levels of government have a responsibility to enact policies that will help to build economic and social resilience, and ensure the right to food for all individuals.
