Peer-to-Peer: Slalom Toronto

This year, we are so grateful that Slalom Toronto partnered with us at Daily Bread Food Bank to raise $35,000. We asked the team at Slalom if they wanted to comment on some of the key highlights over the course of our partnership, and this is what they had to say:

2019 CEO Cook Off

Slalom’s Managing Director, Mark Andersen, traded his suit for an apron and cooked a gourmet meal alongside other CEOs (under the guidance of 2 Toronto Chefs). A few Slalom team members, clients, and partners enjoyed an evening out with delicious food and took home 2nd place in the fundraising competition!

“It was a great opportunity to meet other leaders committed to supporting Daily Bread. We brought our clients and partners to bring life to showcase our corporate responsibility in a unique way!”
Mark Andersen, Managing Director

“Daily Bread shared real life stories showing how our efforts are helping people in our local community – the impact is inspiring.”
Laura Fini, Client Service Partner

Annual Food Drive

Slalom’s annual Food Drive was a smashing success – powered solely by Slalom Employees who are passionate about ending food insecurity in our local communities. Through internal events such as a charity spin class, raffles, and taco day – Slalom doubled last year’s fundraising and had a ton of fun doing it. A handful of team members even made it out to Daily Bread’s onsite food bank to sort and package food for a day! Click here to host your own food drive or fundraiser.

“Daily Bread is not only providing an essential service to our community, they are constantly re-inventing systems and processes to better manage costs, create new experiences, and challenge the way people think about food distribution! To be a part of that engine is truly inspiring!”
Andrew Coulson, Strategic Alliances Director

“Daily Bread’s values have a great synergy with Slalom’s core values and it has been a great pleasure to see that collaborating in action. It is also humbling to see the operation from the inside and how much work is required to bring food to the ones that need it the most.”
– Pedro Melendez, Solution Architect

“We here at Slalom Toronto are looking forward to continuing to live our core values through the work we do at Daily Bread. More events, more fundraising, more volunteering, more projects – we’ve had a great 2019 and are excited for the plans in place to make an even bigger impact in 2020!”
