Sounds of the Season 2022 SOTS Community Champion

Raise your hand to become a Sounds of the Season Community Champion.

Rally your neighbours and run a food drive on your street, your block, in your building, or across your entire neighbourhood.

The first 100 CBC fans who register their food drive and drop off their food by December 17 will receive a special CBC Sounds of the Season toque as thanks.* Learn more below.

Register Your Food Drive. Register a food drive in support of your local food bank by clicking on one of the links below.

Download Resources. Once you’ve registered, you will have access to your local food bank’s ‘Most Needed Items’ list and a customizable flyer you can share with your neighbours to let them know about your food drive.

Plan Your Food Drive. Figure out the scale of your drive. Will you canvass your street, the block, your building, or will you work with a group of friends to invite your entire neighbourhood to donate? Determine the timing for your food drive and fill in the flyer with details. Will you pick up donations from neighbours, or will you ask them to drop them off to you?

Deliver Your Donations. Your food drive registration confirmation email will outline the ways you can get your food to your local food bank.

*The first 100 CBC fans who post a selfie with their food on social media using the hashtags #CBCgives and that of their local food bank (e.g. #MississaugaFoodBank)  OR email their selfie to SOTSChampion@DailyBread.ca by 5:00 p.m. December 17, 2022 will receive a special CBC SOTS toque as thanks for their efforts.
